Antigua's restaurants are almost a dying breed since the advent of all-inclusives. But several worthwhile, lively hotel dining rooms and nightspots remain, especially in the English Harbour and Dickenson Bay areas, in addition to many stalwarts. Virtually every chef incorporates local ingredients and elements of West Indian cuisine.
Most menus list prices in both EC and US dollars, but if not, you should verify in which currency the prices are listed. It's also a good idea to ask if credit cards are accepted and if service is included. Dinner reservations are needed during high season.
Perhaps because of the island's British heritage, Antiguans tend to dress more formally for dinner than other residents of the Caribbean. Wraps and shorts (no beach attire) are standard lunch attire.
